Cover of TIME MAGAZINE

Well folks, this is a hell of a tearsheet to have. I'm still shaking. My picture was selected as a part of the TIME cover from June 02, 2008. This used to be considered as somewhat of a watermark. At least, until now.

Here is the cover

and here is the image that was bought by them from me on iStockphoto.com, the leading micropayment photography stock website:

The baby's face is taken from my photo, but the shoulders were taken from another image, by a well-known child photographer Penny Gentieu. Ironically, the credits read: "ARTHUR HOCHSTEIN WITH PHOTOS FROM PENNY GENTIEU/BABYSTOCK.COM AND ISTOCKPHOTO".

Which means that Penny (who provided the shoulders) is credited with her full name and website, but me (the face) is not even mentioned. Besides, the credits can be read in a way saying that the two images were both produced by Penny and bought through different sites. As a copyright holder for the baby image, I'm sort of disappointed.

Oh well... I guess I'll contact TIME and see what they can do.
